1. How did you get involved in ultra running?
After retiring from rugby in 2013, Jacko began running to improve his breathing and exercise tolerance. By 2021, he completed his first trail marathon, and in 2022, he conquered the 216km Ring O Fire ultra-marathon over three days.

Jacko aims to continue ultra marathons in scenic locations like Snowdon 24 hrs and The Eryri Ultra Trail Marathon. Long-term, he hopes to run the entire UK coastal path (~8,800km).

Jacko is a qualified science teacher with a master’s in engineering.
