Andy & Adam McKibbin are a Sidecarcross team based in Northern Ireland. In 2019, Andy was Irish Sidecar Champion as a passenger, and the duo recently scored points for the first time at the World SidecarCross Grand Prix in July 2023. They use Beet It Sport for the following reasons:

Andy: “I take Beet It Sport shots on the days running up to a race day, and I feel my endurance levels are higher, which improves my overall performance and results.”

Adam: “I’ve found Beet It Sport to be very beneficial to my journey through Sidecarcross and have concluded that it is a ‘must have’ for the days leading up to an event. It makes me feel refreshed and gives me the energy I need on race day. I take the Beet It Sport Nitrate 400 shots a few hours before racing and throughout the day to keep my energy levels high, while also supporting blood flow during intense competition.”

Q&A with Andy & Adam

1. How did you both get involved in sidecar racing?

Andy: My dad has been involved in the sport since the 1970s. I started out as a passenger, loved it, and later decided to try driving myself.

Adam: I got involved through my Uncle Andy. He invited me to try being a passenger, and after my first race, I was hooked. That’s how my journey began.

2. What are your greatest sporting achievements?

Andy: Winning the Irish Sidecar Championship as a passenger in 2019, competing in the World SidecarCross Grand Prix, and being selected for the Irish team at the Des Nations.

Adam: Scoring points at the World Sidecarcross Championships on home turf and currently ranking 45th in the World Championship.

3. What are your sporting ambitions for the rest of 2023 and beyond?

Andy: Competing at the Des Nations, aiming for strong results, and breaking into the British Championship top 10 in future seasons.

Adam: Completing the Ulster Championships and representing Ireland at the Des Nations. Next year, I want to race a full World Championship season.

4. Who have been the biggest influencers on your careers and why?

Andy: Stuart Brown and Etienne Bax — proof that dedication, fitness, and longevity can keep you at the top level.

Adam: My parents. Both have always been sporty, and my dad’s sidecarcross background inspired me to keep fit and competitive.

5. Do you ever swap places on the sidecar?

Andy: No! I couldn’t trust Adam to drive haha.

Adam: Not yet, but I’d be open to it one day.

6. What motivates you to train and compete at the highest level?

Andy: The drive to improve my performance and achieve better results.

Adam: Discipline. I make training a habit, without overthinking it. Rest, sleep, and focus keep me consistent.

7. What advice would you give to someone looking to take up sidecar racing seriously?

Andy: Enjoy the sport, build a strong partnership with your teammate, and grow your skills together.

Adam: Just go for it! Start as a passenger, learn the ropes, and build your own sidecar from there.

8. If you could be a professional athlete in another sport, which would it be and why?

Andy: Motorsport — Formula 1 or MotoGP — for the adrenaline rush.

Adam: Another motorsport like rallycross, or even skiing. I love the mix of danger, focus, and physical endurance.

9. Describe your perfect weekend.

Andy: Time with family and some Sidecarcross action.

Adam: Sunny weather, racing, gaming, movies, and a good steak.

10. What are your main reasons for recommending Beet It Sport?

Andy: It boosts endurance on race weekends, leading to stronger performance.

Adam: It keeps me energized, supports blood flow, and helps me perform at my best during intense competition.

11. Anything additional you’d like to say about Beet It Sport?

Andy: Cherry Regen helps me recover quickly on multi-day events.

Adam: Supplements can be hit or miss, but Beet It Sport is 100% beneficial for endurance sports. It’s a game-changer.
